You Are Punk Music
|

You've thought long and hard about what mainstream society has to offer...
And you've pretty much decided that most normal things aren't for you.
You're creative, expressive, and likely to do things yourself.
You are a rebel and a fighter. You'll defend your point of view to anyone.

| Dead LJ's. |
[Jan. 21st, 2008|09:22 pm] |
| [ | You're making me feel: |
| | contemplative | ] | I like how on certain websites tell you the last time a person got on their account, I wish LJ did that, because now I'm wondering if some of the people on my friend's list just pretty much forgot they even have an LJ and it's a dead account now. Or if they just keep it to be able to read locked entries on their friends lists?? I know of only like 5-7 people on my FL who are active writers, and thanks for that. I just wish I knew what the heck was goin' on with the 30 something other folks! |

Anyone even read this anymore? It's been over 2 months since anyone has commented on a single entry, and some are entries that could have used commenting.
If no one reads this, I guess I can start writing about the irony of how many people on my internet "friends" lists are actually people I despise. Eh? |

| A Twist on Surveys and Interviews! |
[May. 8th, 2006|01:01 am] |
1. What do you think are the most significant ways in which you've changed since high school? Are they changes for the better? I care less what people think, and out of what people say I believe less. I don't trust others, and I know there's more to life than being accepted or convincing yourself you're needed or wanted by others. I'm more careless with my actions and what I say and do then I was in high school, and I'm willing to admit that, and I have to admit that considering I will be starting my 4th year at a 2 year college...haha. I think on the outside others will say I've changed for the worse, but I think i've changed for the better because I'm finally who I wanted to be all along.
2. Which would you rather have: ten casual friends with whom you could always have fun, or one very close friend in whom you knew you could always trust? Ten casual friends. Because there's really no one you can completely trust, and if you put everything into one person, what happens when that one person leaves you?
3. I see you're going back to school in the fall. What do you plan on taking? Courses that will go towards a degree in women studies and that will transfer hopefully to UA, probably at least one science course since I've finished all Math and English courses I need.
4. What's your ideal life? If all your dreams came true, where would you be in ten years, and what would you be doing? Married, no kids, partying, but still responsible. Very secure in both my finances and relationship. And pretty much had gotten over the petty things that hurt me today.
5. Do you have any plans for your twenty-first birthday? Get shit faced legally for once! :)
Now it's your turn. The directions:
1. Leave me a comment saying "interview me." 2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal. 3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions. 4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post. 5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Let's keep this going. It is always nice to learn things about each other. Also, if you have any other questions you'd like to ask me, go for it; you know how I get off on that. |

I didn't send a single "Merry Christmas" text message this morning. I only answered them.
I have 365 days to make my way out here, permanately. I've discovered in only 6 days that Alabama in whole is basically unattractive and ignorant drama. I no longer want to be a part of it.
When I come home, here's the plan...find full time job, work ass off, save up money, lose touch with all friends, become hermit, and then finally, make it back out here, where things just seem better.
Start life over.
Oh, yea, Merry Christmas. |

I shouldn't drink. I don't do well at family functions. I can't handle my emotions or thoughts. I jump to conclusions on everything. I think everyone hates me, or I think I hate everyone.
I need to quit posting for awhile until I figure out what the fuck is going on with me.

| Class |
[Sep. 13th, 2005|12:59 pm] |
I seriously enjoy my Sociology class more than any other class, simply because there's controversy in that class...we're aloud to speak our mind, and argue whatever points we want, and discuss what we want...
Today, someone brought up the point that the only thing they show on the media about Katrina is poor black people, and how help didn't arrive soon enough, and how it would have if it was a middle class white community...they talked about the article in the USA Today of a white family with grocerys with "looking for food" subtitle, and then the black family with the "looters" subtitle under the same type of picture...it was interesting some of the things that were talked about, the fact that the media just likes conflict...but, the part I liked best was the fact some woman was like "well, the media is talking about how it took so long for help to get to the blacks because we're still trying to make up for the fact that we feel bad about them being slaves...", and some man goes..."I don't feel bad at all, I didn't do it..."...yea, someone's gonna end up gettin' really pissed in that class...There's been times that I'd really like to say stuff, but I keep my mouth shut...like today when they were talking about takin' telecourses, and the woman was saying it was good thing for parents, and this guy said it was for people who were just lazy...yea, okay this is the same guy, who confessed last week that he found out his 13 year old daughter is having sex, perhaps he could stand to be lazy in his education, and not in his parenting???...someone also brought up the fact that there's so much focus on the black in New Orleans, and that nothing has been talked about hispanic commuities, or white communites in Alabama or Mississippi...
Whatever.
I'm done with Service Learning, which I'm sort of glad, because it makes my days not so packed, but at the same time, those kids were fun to work with...this little girl Alena lost a tooth yesterday, gross.
Well, I'm gonna take a nap, before I go out tonight... |
